The Shelter Foundation Ministry for Public Utility’s aims
The Foundation supports and helps those groups effectively that are
in a detrimental position, homeless, unemployed, addicted, belong to
an ethnic minority, are continually struggling with financial problems:
A/ Spiritual, mental help:
:: with volunteer metal-hygiene nurses, opportunities for private talks
:: personal life –leading advice with professional volunteers
:: dealing with crises on a personal basis
:. development of community conformation, teaching of social
cohabitation norms, common tasks re-taught through common
programmes, work
B/ Help offered in unconventional forms
:: running of the day centre
:: regular free feeding to those who require it
:: temporary accommodation, night shelter for those in need
:: shower, washing facilities
:: free provision of clothes and other things to those in need
:: distribution of free Christian and other literature along with other

C/ Help to be restored into the community
:: friendly café programs to rebuild relationships and maintain them
:: individual tasks for those who are positioned in the night shelter,
responsibility in the daily chores so as to be able to look after
themselves, and later on lead an individual life
:: non-denominational bible teaching
:: distribution of Christian and good morale books, tapes for free
:: organisation of mental-hygiene, character forming presentations,
teaching series
:: informative materials, address lists, about other organisations,
about the charity that we offer, health institution services, legislative
works, opportunities for the requirement of various support
The foundation- free of denominations-considers as it’s duty not only
to bring forth the universal man’s values but also to make the
Evangelism known since the Bible’s life-forming effect promotes
society with regards to the homeless, whose self-respect, social
abilities, moral value reasoning got lost long ago.
In the format of an informal request anybody can benefit the support,
without any ties.
Our aim is that by continuous spiritual help, counselling and with the
safe accommodation we would urge the homeless to:
:: apply for and undertake a job and save
:: restore the relationship with their families
:: with the recreating of law abiding, socially conforming lifestyle and
attitude the homeless would become society’s useful members
We strive to reach to that stage where those who we look after are
ready to readjust to the lifestyle thy left behind, we also consciously
try to be within a family framework. Our scope is that those who have
found inner peace would be able to settle the issues with their
families be reunited and from a previous tramp to a staying close to
God with a job at hand, looking after self, useful man would emerge.
Leaving the homeless state behind is how we can implant hope to
those who need it, and the determination that there is a chance for a
humane lifestyle.
